Gramin Bharat Trust is a non-governmental and non-political organization, this organization was founded by Om Prakash Thakur on 29 December 2019. Its headquarters is located in Bhajeog village of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh state of India. The objective of the organization is to restore the importance of villages and stop the migration of rural youth. Under the mission "चलो गांव की और", this mission will be accomplished in collaboration with educated youth so that the educated people of the village do not go to the city for employment but start their own business in the village and along with this they can contribute to social services for rural upliftment.
Objectives & Initiatives
1. To provide spiritual and religious prosperity to rural communities, which will increase the sense of peace and well-being among the villagers. For this, organizing meditation, yoga sessions and religious activities.
2. To organize health check-up camps, sports activities and yoga classes for the overall health of the villagers so that physical fitness and mental health is maintained.
3. To organize festivals, traditional dances, musical performances and other cultural programs for cultural enrichment.
4. Support Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and maintain cleanliness in rural areas by cleaning villages, setting up waste management systems, and educating villagers about the importance of cleanliness.
5. Promote sustainable agricultural practices and help increase agricultural productivity through the latest technologies by organizing agricultural horticulture camps and organizing workshops on organic farming, providing training on the latest agricultural technologies, and encouraging the use of natural fertilizers and pest control methods.
6. Empower rural women and increase their socio-economic status by organizing educational programs, vocational training, and awareness campaigns that focus on women's health, legal rights, and financial literacy.
7. Make women economically self-reliant by helping them form self-help groups and providing micro-financing options, facilitating skill development workshops, and providing guidance for starting small businesses.
8. Motivate and enable rural youth to set up their own enterprises, especially in agribusiness and rural tourism, thereby reducing urban migration.
9. Provide mentoring, business training, and financial assistance to young entrepreneurs interested in the rural economy.
